”Eventually everything connects – people, ideas, objects … the quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.” Charles Eames
AYD LOS ANGELES is to be an intimate, inspiring space for tastemakers and influencers who savor a life that combines luxury and meaning. Connecting with the true spirit of Los Angeles, it is a sanctuary for innovative and inventive souls who crave a deeper connection to the world and the people around them. — AYD LOS ANGELES will create a hub in which collaborations are stimulated and mobilized between artists, filmmakers, musicians, photographers, visionaries and entrepreneurs, in the cradle of Los Angeles and beyond.
AYD LOS ANGELES is synonymous with a commitment to sustainability. The biophilic design of the facility emphasizes the use of natural materials, light, and sound to optimize members’ experiences and cultivate a sense of synergy with the world. From the design and construction by one of Scandinavia’s leading sustainable architecture firms, through a daily operation of our club complex, we are applying pioneering approaches to energy use, which includes solar technology, insulation, thermal capture, recycling, and water conservation.
AYD LOS ANGELES prioritizes local, organic, and seasonal produce to create a menu that is uniquely Los Angeles. By using high-quality, small-scale producers with an impressive selection of organic and biodynamic drinks, the club will implement robust initiatives to minimize food wastage.
We believe that the world’s most difficult challenges are opportunities waiting for solutions. With the dynamic entities that make up AYD LOS ANGELES, we know that it’s possible to facilitate conversations that can improve the present and shape the future. To this end, in the showroom and exhibition space at AYD LOS ANGELES, ANTI will host innovative brands, non-profits, scientists, and artists to present potential solutions to global challenges. We will feature the most promising approaches to address climate change and promote sustainability by highlighting both for-profit and non-profit solutions to pressing environmental issues.
Our non – profit angle. The AYD Foundation Launched in late 2015. The AYD Foundation was a direct response to the tragedies faced by the European refugee crisis. The humanitarian crises faced by immigrants was something that felt powerful and personal, and so for the past two years, the Foundation has raised awareness and funds for various charitable causes that had demonstrated clear management and efficient operations.
Building on a core of care and compassion, after the grand opening in 2020 the Foundation will shift focus towards direct action within the Los Angeles community, especially around Skid Row by funding cultural projects, art events, education, health care, and programs that address homelessness and extreme poverty. One of the organizations the foundation will support is Inner-City Arts in Downtown LA, which promotes creativity, original vision, quality, and sustainability. Using art as a positive motivator for change, Inner-City Arts gives under privileged inner-city children the opportunity to lead productive and successful lives by developing their artistic expression, improving learning skills and building self-confidence. In time, and as the Foundation grows, the AYD family aims to devote resources to global concerns such as climate change, war zones, natural disaster relief, cures for chronic illnesses, and to support projects in the developing world.
